Darlene Langston, a native of Oakland, California, began her musical career as a soloist and educator at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Richmond. She received classical music training at California State University, Hayward, going on to perform as a soloist with the Oakland Opera and the Lamplighters Gilbert & Sullivan Ensemble. In 2005 Ms. Langston focused her career on nightclub and cabaret performance, leading to the release of her 2006 CDs, "Imagination" and "Blue Prelude", Ms Langston's current 2007 release is titled "Street of Dreams."

Ms. Langston's repertoire reflects her love of the Great American Songbook, along with her familiarity with the blues and Tin Pan Alley tradition.
